If you ask Matti for help, don’t be surprised if he’s on his feet before you even finish the question. Energetic, fast-talking, and always ready for action, Matti brings an infectious drive to the Sonocrete team.
As our head of the laboratory, he keeps everything running smoothly - from planning testing schedules to organising lab results and preparing presentations. With his ability to grasp the bigger picture while obsessing over the finer details, Matti manages to guide everyone in the right direction without ever overshadowing their efforts.
Matti’s journey to Sonocrete began at the university in Cottbus, where he lectured students on the science of concrete and cement. The university’s shared lab with Sonocrete provided the first point of contact, and now he’s swapped teaching for managing. Which is the tougher challenge — teaching students or leading our lab team? We’d rather not ask, but Matti seems to excel at both.
Outside of work, Matti’s enthusiasm is just as boundless. Whether practicing yoga, smithing in his home workshop, or rallying the team for bouldering sessions, he’s always up for trying something new. His open-minded, non-judgmental nature and ability to find joy in others’ quirks make him a vital part of the Sonocrete family.
