In an average concrete plant that produces 35,000m³ concrete per annum, this translates to a cement clinker reduction of approximately 3,200 tonnes per annum.
Looking at all the precast plants in the world the clinker saved could amount to 110,000,000 tonnes per year.
Such a reduction in clinker would mean a carbon reduction of 85 Million tonnes per year.
A saving comparable to switching off 23 coal fired plants.
A saving of this dimension has a similar impact as planting around 1.4 billion tree seedlings and letting them grow for 10 years.
